It is also known as lady's finger or okra and is prepared in amazingly different ways in every household around the world. everyone try bhindi with various spices depending on the region and personal taste choices. I am always open to trying new versions of every vegetable.. this time I have tried making bhindi/ okra/ lady's finger in the curd/ yoghurt.
- 500 gms Okra/Bhindi
- 1/2 tbsp Fenugreek seeds/ methi
- 3-4 Green chilies
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 3-4 tbsp Curd/Dahi
- Oil - for cooking
Wash the bhindi/ okra thoroughly, and cut it into1-inch pieces.
Heat oil in a pan, Add Green chillies and fenugreek seeds and allow it to splutter.
Now add chopped okra and saute it well and allow it to cook for 10 minutes on a medium flame. Keep stirring in between.
After 10 minutes add salt and curd, mix well and again let it cook for another 10 minutes on a low flame.
Serve hot with parathas or phulkas.
Tip:- Do not cover while cooking, it will make your okra sticky!
