Indian fritters- Hari Mirch Pakoda or green chilli fritters are an excellent evening snack option if you are not watching your weight.
It's extremely easy and delicious Indian recipe. Also its a very common street food in many parts of the country
- 9-10 Mirch Hari Moti Mirch/ Green Thick chilli
- 2 Cups Gram Flour/ Besan
- 1.5 tbsp Salt
- 2 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp Carom seeds
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- As required oil for frying
First of all, we will have to prepare the batter for the fritters. for that, we will need Gram flour, salt, garam masala, carom seeds, red chilli powder and some water to make a smooth paste. (the consistency of the batter should not be too watery nor too thick)
Take Moti Hari Mirch/ thick green chilli and wash it thoroughly after removing its head.
Make few vertical slits on the chilli in order to cook it properly.
Heat oil in a kadhai or pan for frying.
Now, for frying the fritters, coat a chilli into the batter and fry till it turns golden brown.
Take out the fritters on a clean kitchen towel to let it soak excess oil.
Enjoy the chilli fritters with your family along with any green chutney.

Tip: you can also add a pinch of baking soda into the batter to make the fritters more crispy.
