Bread Recipes are my all time favourite.

They are instant and yummy at the same time. I do love to experiment a lot with the different variety of bread and try to turn it into something awesome, which my family loves.

Bread poha is one of my instant recipes that I make for breakfast or even evening snacks. It is savoured by my family it and it filling at the same time. Poha is basically or you can say traditionally any dish which involves flattened rice. but for the twist, you can make it with a lot of other things also, like Bread poha, Vermicelli Poha, oats poha etc. let's jump into this flavoursome recipe without any delay.

Ingredients
  • 9-10 slices Bread (whole wheat) (you can also use multigrain, brown, white)
  • 2-3 small Onion (finely chopped)
  • 5-6 Green Chillies (as per your taste)
  • 2 large Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1.2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • 2 sachet Maggi masala/ homemade garam masala(1tbsp)
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 3 tbsp olive oil for cooking
Instructions
  1. First of all, in a pan, roast some peanuts with 1 tbsp of oil. and keep it aside.

    Also, Cut the bread slices into small cubes for later uses.


  2. Moving ahead, Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and let it splutter. also, add green chillies and saute it for a minute.

  3. Now add chopped onion and saute it until it's golden brown. add ginger- garlic paste and cook for approx 2 minutes.

  4. Next, add chopped tomatoes and mix well. at this time you can add all the spices like salt, turmeric, Maggi masala or homemade garam masala powder. mix everything well and cover it. let it cook till the masala starts to leave the oil in the pan.

  5. after about % minutes, check if the tomatoes ate cooked well, go ahead and add the cubed bread pieces, and mix all the ingredients thoroughly. 

  6. At this time you can also add a couple of tablespoon of ghee/ clarified butter for enhancing the taste. (it is completely optional)

  7. keep sauteing the bread mixture into the pan until the bread starts top turn crunchy and a little brown in colour (Do not cover with the lid now)

  8. Finally, In the end, garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and fried peanuts.

  9. Enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
